ILNA: Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojjati arrived in Moscow on Tuesday at the head of a delegation to take part in the 3rd meeting of agriculture ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
Providing food security for member countries is said to top the main agenda of the meeting.
The Moscow meeting is scheduled to kick off on Thursday in the presence of the six SCO member countries, namely, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as the five observer countries – Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India and Mongolia.
This is the first time that the observer members are attending the meeting.
A delegation of private sector activists in the field of agriculture are accompanying Hojjati in the visit.
