Kerman with several UNESCO World Heritage Sites is located in South East Iran.

Kerman is located in South East Iran and borders Yazd, Fars, Hormozgan, South Khorasan and Sistan and Baluchestan. "Arg e Bam", Ganjali Khan Complex, Shahdad Yardang (Kalut) and Shazdeh Garden are among the most significant tourist attraction of the province.

 

SHAHDAD YARDANG (KALUT)

Yardangs naturally protuberated structures in Lut desert. They have been formed out of wind and water mutual influence on the desert’s sand and in this respect carved out shapes that seem to be formed by humans.

The view from top of a collection of these yardangs (kalut) illustrates a city with several skyscraper. The imagined city is placed in an area of 11 thousands square kilometers and is located 40 kilometer out of Shahdad.

SHAZDEH GARDEN

A historical garden, Shazdeh Garden, is an example of "Persian Garden". It belongs to Ghajar period and with 8 others Persian Gardens, has been registered as UNESCO World Heritage site.

Located in a rectangular ground, the garden has a gate with striking Iranian architecture and contains similar Persian Garden fountains and streaming waters.

ARG E BAM

Arge Bam is another UNESCO Heritage World Site in Kerman. The world largest adobe structure has an area of around 200 thousands square meter and includes citadel and towers, residence site, bazaar, caravanserai and rulers’ section.
