Iranian Justice Ministry officials sign MoU with WIPO's top official to create training center in the country.

Iran signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), to make Intellectual Property training center inside the country. The agreement was signed between "Alireza Kazemi", Iran’s Justice Ministry’s legal deputy and "Sharif Saadullah", executive director of WIPO academy in Geneva.

The two have underlined the necessity of rapid implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding and highlighted that in addition to training in this field, the center can play major role in strengthening intellectual property in the region.

In this respect, a visit from a WIPO body of experts from Tehran has been set.   

According to the report, raising intellectual property knowledge in the country is vital in economic progress toward knowledge based economy.
