Aviation Authority issues communique on Tashkent-Dubai flight's landing in Shiraz

The Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) issued a communique on the emergency landing of a Tashkent-Dubai flight in Shiraz, announcing: This has been a serious event, that is under joint survey by CAO and UAE.

"On 5:15 am flight number 1942 of Dubai Fly Airlines, which was a B738 plane flying from Tashkent to Dubai while flying over Iran's airspace neat Isfahan announced an emergency situation because its pilot had fainted, and changed its flight path towards Shiraz International Airport," the communique said.

The communique added that the copilot managed to land the plane in Shiraz safely and in collaboration with the CAO, a medical inspector team was invited to Shiraz Airport that made the necessary medical moves.

"Based on CAO officials' directions, the passengers were transferred to the airport's transit hall until a new pilot will be sent to Shiraz, and eventually when he arrived, at 4 pm the passengers were forwarded to Dubai," it further said.
