Member of Saffron National Council expressed concern over smuggling saffron bulbs,
"Ali Hosseini", member of the Saffron National Council, expressing concern over smuggling saffron bulbs during the past several years, told that the fact has contributed to increase in the production of the plant in neighboring countries like Afghanistan.
Considering lifting the product's 10 years ban of export and transfer, he regarded south Khorasan province agricultural engeeniering organization as the entity responsible for the orders and as part of producers and exporters associations criticized about not getting consulted and briefed about the procedure.
"Wasn't it better to consult those associations and people who spent their life in planting and harvesting the product ", he emphasized.
