Worker Union activist in an interview with ILNA expresses concern over workers income increase model.

“Alireza Heidari”, Worker Union activist, in an interview with ILNA stated that according to the clause 111 of the social security act of the constitution, Social Security Organization pensions shouldn’t be determined less than worker’s minimum wage, which has been set for 930 thousand Tomans for the upcoming year.

“Meantime, the amount is not at all sufficient for filling 60 percent distance between income and the retiree families’ expenses”, he stressed.

Heidari noted that although considering worker’s families basket of goods and their expenses in the estimation of this year’s minimum wage was a significant point, but the fact is, besides such considerations, it’s also necessary to fill the gap between workers and pensioners’ income and living expenses.

According to him, union activists expect, in the next year, a full consideration of basket of good’s rates in the wage estimation and the workers and pensioners living condition would improve.
