Housing prices to rise 15 percent in the year ahead; Tehran Construction Official

According to top Tehran construction official, housing prices will rise 15 percent this year.

Chairman of Tehran Property, Real Estate and Community Associations, "Hassan Mohtasham",  predicting the housing market would remain steady till presidential election, told that in the year 1396 (which started on March 2017) housing market will witness a 15 percent rise in the prices and as such would reach more dynamicity.

Mohtasham referring to the influence that housing market might take from election space, said: "All over the world economic market is influenced by election processes but the amount of such impact might be different."

"This round of election is Rouhani’s second term and experience has proved that presidents’ election in second term are more probable" he added.

According to Mohtasham, people’s economic situation has remained unchanged and these conditions won’t let new investment entering real estate market.

Pointing to the 11th government’s policies in cutting inflation rates, top construction official told: "crucial economic policies during the last 4 years has led to curb in inflation rates and slowing money supply circle in the market has prevented new investment to flow into housing markets."
