Tehran housing deals increase 17.7%

The total number of housing deals in Tehran reached 18,400 during the 11th Iranian month to Feb. 19, registering a 17.7% increase compared with the same month of last year, the Central Bank of Iran announced.

In its latest monthly housing report published on its website that employs data from the Tenement Management Information System, the regulator also reviews the volume of home deals divided by the unit's age, price changes, 11-month development in housing deals and rents.

The entity in charge of publishing official economic statistics notes that from a total of 18,392 units transacted in the 11th month, new units with an age of up to five years grabbed the highest share at 48.7% or 8,955, followed by units aged 11-15 years and 6-10 years with a respective share of 14.7% and 14.1% or 2,708 and 2,598.
