Rafsanjani calls for methodical solution to terrorism

Head of Iran's Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani expressing regret over worrisome spread of terrorism in the world called for methodical resolution of this phenomenon.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Minister President of Lower Saxony of German Federal Republic Stephan Weil on Saturday.

Ayatollah Rafsanjani lauded Germany's support for the nuclear talks and criticized certain parties to the talks for violation of their obligations.

He pointed to the insecurity resulted from terrorist actions in the world, adding that terrorist groups were created to counter the Islamic Republic of Iran but they are causing trouble for their supporters.

Criticizing NATO attack on Afghanistan and Libya which led to the spread of terrorism in the world, the senior cleric said that today, eliminating terrorist groups is not easy and global thinkers should propose methodical solutions for the future of mankind.

Blaming West's support for MKO terrorist group, he called Israeli actions a source of insecurity in the world.

Minister President of Lower Saxony of German Federal Republic Stephan Weil for his part said that Germany is keen to promote ties with Iran.

He criticized those who were trying to sabotage implementation of the nuclear deal with Iran. He also called for reducing unemployment in the regional states to prevent recruit of the youth by terrorist groups.

The official also praised Iran's hospitality towards millions of Afghan and Iraqi refugees and censured Europe for mistreatment of Middle East refugees.
