President Rouhani sent a message to the heads of Islamic countries to congratulate them on the advent of holy month of Ramadan and called on them to exercise collaborative partnership, empathy and integrity to present the true face of the merciful Islam.

In the message that was sent late on Monday, Rouhani also called on the heads of states to lead building a World against Violence and Extremism.

“I hope that in this month, which is full of blessings, by taking advantage of praying to God, learning from the Book of Revelation and the tradition of the prophet of Islam, we can further strengthen brotherly and friendly ties and spread peace and security among the Islamic community,” wrote Rouhani in the message that was sent separately to each head of state.

He stated “in this sensitive period in the history of Muslims that presenting a violent and untrue image of the real Islam is threatening the historical heritage of its civilization and Islamic philosophy and our coexistence with the followers of other religions, it is necessary that we exercise collaborative partnership, empathy and integrity to present the true face of the merciful Islam and lead building a World Against Violence and Extremism”.

At the end of his message, Rouhani wished health for the heads of Islamic countries and pride and success for Islamic governments and nations in the holy month.
