Iran categorically slammed the terrorist attack in Munich, Germany, extending condolences with German nation and government.

“Today, fight against terrorism in any form and anywhere should be regarded as a serious and prompt demand of the international community and human conscience and should be a pattern for all countries,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi.

He said that killing innocent and defenseless people has turned out to be a shame in human being history which can be uprooted only through all-out and comprehensive fight and avoiding double standards.

An 18-year man opened fire in a crowded Munich shopping mall and a nearby McDonald's killing nine people and wounding 16 others before killing himself, the chief of police in the Bavarian capital said on Saturday.
