Caspian Sea to discuss in Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan summit

Russian ambassador to Iran said that a trilateral summit in the presence of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan presidents will be held on August 8 in Baku.

Levan Dzhagaryan told on Wednesday that the summit is to discuss security, the Caspian Sea legal regime, energy, transportation and constructing railway between Rasht and Astara.

Referring to extensive relations between Tehran and Moscow, he reiterated that both countries' presidents have been able to make a suitable plan to develop bilateral cooperation in different political, commercial, cultural and tourism areas.

He noted that Iranian president's trip to Russia and visiting Astrakhan and Russian president's trip to Tehran were turning points in bilateral ties.

He also said that the trade between the two countries has increased and the volume of goods exchange reached $855m during the first 5 months of 2016.
