US: Ahmadinejad’s letter was referred to Justice Department

US State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau has said that the letter sent by the former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to US President Barack Obama was referred to the Justice Department.
According to the New York Post, she said, “We have seen the letter reportedly sent from former President Ahmadinejad to President Obama” and referred comment to the Justice Department, which declined to offer any.”
Mr. Ahmadinejad sent a letter to President Obama demanding the release of $2 billion in Iranian funds that were seized from bank accounts in New York earlier this year.
