Bolivian President Evo Morales has appreciated the Iranian government and people for their support of the Latin American nation.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday local time.

Bolivia is ready for comprehensive cooperation with Iran's private and governmental companies in all field, including agriculture, science, technology, finance and banking, the Bolivian President said.

Morales noted that despite foreign efforts for sabotaging Iran-Bolivia ties, the two countries managed to stand together and developed their relations.

Morales praised Iranian government and people for their support of Bolivia.

During the meeting, Iranian foreign minister noted that the Islamic Republic attaches great importance to development of ties with Bolivia.

Beside the high-level political relations, Iran is keen to enhance mutual economic cooperation with Bolivia, Zarif said.

He said that Iran and Bolivia share similar stance on political and international issues.

Iran's top diplomat also called for more consultations between the two countries on issues of mutual interest and in addressing regional problems.

Zarif on Friday attended Iran-Bolivia Trade and Investment Forum while accompanied by Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca.

The two countries' space agencies signed a cooperation document in the presence of the two foreign ministers.

Zarif, heading a 120-member delegation, is on a six-nation tour of Latin America in a bid to broaden economic cooperation between Iran and the states in the region.

Following Ecuador, Zarif visited Chile and now is in Bolivia. Venezuela is the last leg of Zarif tour of Latin America.
