President Hassan Rouhani said that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action reached between Iran and G5+1 can become a role model for similar negotiations in the world and lead to establishment of security and stability in the region.

He made the remarks in a ceremony held to celebrate the 34th Book of the Year Award and the 24th World Award for Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Elaborating on the reasons of victory of nuclear talks, the president said people's vote in Iran’s 2013 presidential elections and the leader’s support were the reasons for the success of talks with G5+1.

There were certain people that opposed the nuclear talks from the very beginning, claiming that the other sides of talks will deceive the Iranian negotiators, he added.

Praising the Supreme Leader's proposal for showing heroic flexibility towards powers, he said, “With using logic and keeping dignity, we brought the negotiations to the point that now, the newly-elected US president cannot bear it and call it the worst ever negotiation he has seen.'

“Of course the nuclear deal is a win-win deal in the interest of all sides and the region,” the president added.

Referring to recent talks between the Syrian government and the opposition in Kazakhstan capital, Astana, Rouhani said the nuclear deal can become an example for similar negotiations in the world and lead to establishment of security and stability in the region.

Had the Leader not proposed the idea of heroic flexibility in the talks and encouraged people to vote in 2013 presidential elections, we would not have been able to succeed and emerge victorious, he noted.

The President hailed the role of books as a mirror of scientists and artists' ideas in making relations between people living in various centuries.

The Islamic Revolution days remind us the victory of logic over military and security power of the former Iranian dictatorship supported by all world powers, he added.

Some books and discourses including the books and ideas of Avicina, Farabi, Sheikh Mofid and Sheikh Toosi have become everlasting, he added.

President Rouhani said that Iran’s Islamic Revolution Founder Imam Khomeini transferred its discourse to the world people and in particular the people of Iran before the revolution.

The president said that Imam Khomeini's discourse that religion is not separate from politics had an effective role in victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Another discourse of the late Imam was that a united nation can win any power including the power of former Iranian dictator, the US or any other power, he noted.

The president attended the 24th Islamic Republic of Iran's Book of the Year World Award ceremony held in the Iranian capital Tehran and presented awards to 10 winners of the event in various fields of religion, language, applied and medical sciences, art and music, literature and photo.

Meanwhile, President Rouhani presented the awards of 11 winners of 34th Book of the Year Awards.

The 34th round of Iran’s Book of the Year Awards and the 24th World Award for Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran started work with the attendance of President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday.

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri and his deputy for cultural affairs and a group of authors and publishers took part in the event.
