Akhoondi reinstated as road minister

Impeachment session of Iranian road minister has led to reinstatement of him.
“Abas Akhoondi”, Iranian road minister, after an impeachment session in the parliament was able to maintain confidence vote of the members and remained as the minister.
From total of 255 votes, only 74 representatives have voted in favor of the impeachment while 176 voted in favor of his reinstatement and 5 abstained.
The parliamentary session included supporters and opponents' speeches. Meanwhile, Akhoondi tried two times to defend himself and his performance as the minister.
