Member of Tehran's city council, called Mayor's progress report unacceptable.

Talking to ILNA, "Mohammad Mahdi Tondgouyan", Member of Tehran’s City Council, regarding evaluation of the council’s performance in supervising Tehran's Municipality, told: "During these 4 years, "Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf", Tehran’s Mayor, never answered the council’s questions and our queries always were ignored. For instance, in Plasco building collapse or the total cost of Sadr bridge or Niayesh tunnel, when asked for clarifications, he never stood responsible for what he did."

Pointing to the fact that Ghalibaf’s tenure as Tehran Mayor was long enough for shedding light on controversial issues, told: "During these 12 years, we never had a sustainable income in the city. Even the city garbages and recycling could be used as resource but this never happened. The garbage could be used for producing electricity or could be refined to other products, none of which targeted."

He called Ghalibaf’s progress reports poor and unacceptable and told that from financial dimensions they could be widely inspected and investigated. Tondgouyan added that the projects weren’t properly prioritized and rather than provision of services for the citizens, more than anything else, publicity and commercialization was on the agenda.
