Top worker activist says that workers should avoid political disputes.

"Ali Khodaee", Member of board of directors in Supreme Islamic Labor Council in his interview with ILNA, regarding the upcoming election told: "These days in cyber spaces we are witnessing controversies between diverse groups about the presidential election. The wise workers should avoid entering political and partisan confrontation because such disputes are not going to benefits any of them."

He continued: "During all these times, we, workers, primarily supported anti-labor policies and then protested. Don’t you think our inadequate wages are the result of our accumulated demands. Isn’t this true that during all these periods, our job safety was destructed."

Saying that he believes that there’s a need for participating in the event and there should be a maximal presence in it, top worker activist added: "The major question is who should we vote for?"

He called for clarification on what he named broken, deficient and destructive Labor amendments bills and stated that the government should apologize for presenting such a bill to the parliament.

"Otherwise we loudly cry our objections in events and meetings during the Labor week" Khodaee added.

At the end he emphasized: "We as workers are going to vote for those who have articulated and specific programs for addressing our problems which include living conditions and job safety. Workers and their families comprise more than 50% of the country’s population. Lets consider our problems wisely and prudently while keep our union independent."
