Iran’s FM official stresses importance of consular contacts with UAE
ILNA: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi on Thursday stressed the importance of consular cooperation with the United Arab Emirates(UAE).
In a meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash, he lauded the friendly ties between the two neighboring countries and said the ۹th meeting of Iran - UAE joint consular commission will help further expand bilateral ties.
He also expressed Iran’s interest in promoting consular cooperation with the UAE and said coordination and exchange of views between the two countries on regional issues was necessary.
Gargash, for his part, voiced satisfaction with the outcome of the joint commission session and hoped officials from both countries in charge of sea border guards would hold a similar meeting soon.
