Asian stocks rise, buoyed by US stocks' gains and weaker yen

Asian stocks rallied Thursday, lifted by a rise in U.S. stocks following an uptick in oil prices. A weakening of the Japanese yen pushed Tokyo's benchmark higher; Associated Press reported.
