Iranian Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development Asghar Fakhriyeh-Kashan said Iran is in talks with France to buy more small airplanes as it is holding talks with Japan in the same field.

He said that Iran needs more 20 planes to provide required equipment for 60 airports.

“We have also held talks with Japan to buy MRG planes from Mitsubishi.”

He noted that Iran is negotiating purchase of 20 small airplanes from Mitsubishi.

Fakhriyeh continued that the 100-seats MRG planes are good option for Iran’s Aseman Agency since the airline is mostly responsible for local flights.

He said that purchase of the 20 planes is in the form of finance-lease, adding Japan has promised to investigate Iran’s demands to continue talks in December through forming the second joint work group by the two countries.
