Kim Il Sung Praised for Feats for Global Independence
The feats performed by President Kim Il Sung for the cause of global independence under the banner of anti-imperialist struggle in the 20th century are kept in the minds of the progressive mankind forever, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an article.
Kim Il Sung is the great master of idea and theory who provided the immortal ideo-theoretical guidelines for accomplishing the human cause of independence, the article says, and goes on:
He fathered the immortal Juche idea, showing the way for carving out the independent destiny of human being for the first time in history and ushering in the era of independence, an era of gigantic changes.
The anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle led by him was a national liberation war in the colony which was guided to victory by the Juche idea and the Songun idea based on it. It indicated the most correct way for the oppressed peoples to retake their national sovereignty and achieve the independence of their countries.
He had consistently embodied the Juche idea, the Songun idea into the whole course of the revolutionary struggle and built a socialist fortress of socialism shining with independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in defense on this land.
He set independence, peace and friendship as a consistent tenet of the DPRK's foreign policy and developed the relations of good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation with those countries which respect the sovereignty of the DPRK and are friendly toward it.
Thanks to the precious legacy provided by him for the human cause of independence, the cause of global independence is making a triumphant advance despite all sorts of challenge and tempests of history.
