Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has unveiled Iran’s conditions for normalizing ties with Saudi Arabia.

If Riyadh stops airstrikes in Yemen and “bowing to Israel” Iran will have no problem to resume ties with Saudi Arabia, Rouhani said.

“In recent years, we have returned stability and security to the region,” Rouhani said, adding that, “we kiss the hands of the warriors of Islam and resistance because they disappointed global arrogance, secured Iraq and Syria.”

“Of course, I do not want to say that security problems have been resolved and over, but the main pillars of terrorism have collapsed in the region,” he added.

Iranian officials refer to their regional alliance with Lebanese group Hezbollah and Syrian government against Israel as “resistance movement,” or ‎"axis of resistance." ‎

The Iranian president further expressed hope that Yemen also will be secure and safe as Syria, Iraq and Lebanon as well in the future.

Rouhani also referred to the US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as a new “plot” by the United States and Israel.

He said that Iran will take any step to support Palestinians and “holy position of al-Quds.”
